Frequently Asked Questions About Renting A Party Bus
Q: ARE YOU LICENSED AND INSURED?
A: Yes! You can view our carrier license and insurance info online at California Public Utilities Commission. Enter our TCP license number 18080 in carrier id box and click on submit.
Q: HOW CAN I PROTECT MYSELF FROM UNLICENSED UNINSURED COMPANIES
You can protect yourself from the many companies sneaking around without a license or insurance by learning more here.
Q: HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK MY PARTY BUS?
A: If you want the party bus in the next 45 days book it now. Longer then 45 days from now call our reservationist and ask for advice.
Q: HOW MUCH IS THE DEPOSIT TO RENT A PARTY BUS?
A: Deposits vary from 10-30%. A credit card deposit for each party bus reservation is required at time of booking. Reservationist will discuss exact deposit amount when you book. A valid credit card must be provided at the time of booking to reserve the party bus for your use.
Q: DO WE HAVE TO RENT THE BUS FOR A MINIMUM NUMBER OF HOURS?
A: NO. We can usually adjust our rental rates to accommodate you. Call our reservationist and discuss your needs.
Q: WHEN DOES MY RESERVATION BEGIN AND END?
A: Some companies charge you from the moment the bus leaves the garage to the moment it returns to garage. We do not do that. Your reservation begins at your scheduled pickup time and location. Unlike other companies, we do not charge for time to get from our terminal to your pickup point. Your reservation ends at final scheduled drop off time on reservation form or when last member of your group exits the party bus...whichever occurs last.
Q: CAN WE DRINK ALCOHOL ON THE BUS?
A: Yep! It's a party bus so drinking alcohol is permitted. If there is a mixed group of both 21+ and under 21 on board, alcohol is generally NOT permitted by law but there are exceptions if someone on board is 25+ and willing to sign necessary paperwork. Ask our reservatonist for advice.
Q: DO YOU SUPPLY ALCOHOL ON THE BUS?
A: Generally NO. We will supply Alcohol on some very limited occasions but there is an extra "go get it" fee. And we will only do it for corporate events and possibly weddings. Take our advice... it will be much cheaper for you to buy your own at Costco, BevMo etc. You are welcome to bring whatever beverages you would like onto the bus.
Q: CAN WE SMOKE ON THE BUS?
A: NO. The small of smoke lingers in the bus long after you have gone and many people find it offensive. So smoking is strictly prohibited on all party buses and a $100 extra charge per occurrence will be added to reservation cost and billed to credit card on file if you violate this rule. Need a smoke break? Ask the driver to stop somewhere.
Q: CAN WE BRING FOOD ON BOARD?
A: On a case by case basis that's up to your Driver unless you pre arrange permission to bring food on board with Reservationist at time of booking. You must leave the party bus as clean as you found it food wise or we must assess additional cleaning fees. However, we do advise against eating hot food or messy food when the bus is moving.
Q: HOW MUCH ARE YOUR CANCELLATION FEES?
A. A cancellation fee could be equal to the full reservation charge if you cancel within 72 hours of service time. Cancellations 4 to 7 days prior to service date requires deposit forfeiture however, if we can re book the party bus for your time slot we will refund any cancellation fee incurred.
Q: DO YOU OFFER VIP ENTRANCE TO NIGHTCLUBS?
A: Some party bus companies claim to have VIP relationships with nightclubs in Los Angeles and Orange County but beware.... more often then not they DO NOT! When they get to the club the Driver tries to bribe the bouncer with some of the EXTRA money they charged you for "VIP CLUB ENTRY" at time of booking. That only works sometimes. That's why they say things like " the nightclub has FINAL SAY on who they let in" and "we DO NOT GIVE REFUNDS for any individuals or groups who are refused VIP entry to clubs".
Q: HOW DO WE GET VIP ENTRY PRIVILEGES INTO NIGHTCLUBS
A. Best way is call the nightclub early in the week and ask to speak to their in house promoter. limo & party bus companies brag they can get you VIP entry but do not have that access. Driver pulls up and tries to bribe doorman. Sometimes that works but most time NO.
Q: CAN WE SPLIT UP OUR GROUP?
We do allow group splitting on a VERY limited basis if you arrange for it with our Reservationist at time of booking. You may not split any group where children are on board without chaperones such as school dances, Quinceaneras or school sporting events. Any Group Splitting agreement must be discussed with our Reservationist and included on your reservation paperwork. Driver is never empowered to group split without waybill aka reservation form authorizing it.
Q: DOES A PARENT NEED TO BE ON BOARD FOR MINORS EVENTS
A: No. For events like school dances where the group consists of all minors, we just require a parent and all students to sign a Leslie Bill, which must be given to the driver upon pick up. For weddings, corporate or collage events where there is a mix of ages, we provide a Studebaker Bill Waiver which must be signed by an Adult 25 years or older and willing to accept responsibility to bar any minors from drinking alcoholic beverages at any time during the reservation period.
Q: AM I FINANCIALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR MY GROUPS BEHAVIOR?
A: YES! Our contract for service is with you so we will charge your credit card for any damage charges or additional cleaning fees due to sickness or excessive time required to clean party bus after your use. So please make sure you let your guests know you are financially liable for their behavior and they should behave well or you might passing any additional expense you incur on to them.
Q: HOW MUCH SHOULD WE TIP THE DRIVER?
A: As with restaurants; 20% is considered a full tip. anything less would be considered a partial tip. Driving a party bus full of people partying, drinking, playing loud music and generally having a really good time is hard on our drivers! You do a lot more then drive when you are a party bus driver. You are usually a host also, you clean the bus as the trip goes on and you keep the party going in many ways! Therefore, we always recommend a 20% Gratuity but the final tip amount is up to you.
Q: CAN WE SEE THE PARTY BUS PRIOR TO RENTING?
A: We post REAL pictures of our buses on our site so you can see inside and outside of our bus rentals. If you really feel the need physically see the bus please ask reservationist to arrange a time to take a tour. Friday mornings between 9am and 12 noon are free. There is a $50 fee any other time during week as our terminal is closed and we need to pay an employee to show you the bus. It won't look different then the pictures though.
Q: HOW CAN WE PAY YOU?
A: Your deposit must be on a credit card at time of booking. For the balance we prefer cash and you can save money by paying cash but we also accept all major credit or debit cards for deposits. There is a 3% transaction fee for cc payments and a 5% convenience fee if you say you are paying cash and then switch to paying with credit card at time of pickup. remaining balance is paid to the transport carrier upon delivery by cash, money order or cashier’s check. You can also pay off the remaining balance of your reservation with a debit or credit card, though a 2.5% transaction fee will added to the total remaining balance due at time of service.
